Forestry Education under the Directorate of Forestry Education

IGNFA offers training programs for Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers at various career stages, providing courses in forestry, wildlife management and environmental conservation.
CASFOS provides training to State Forest Service(SFS) officers, focusing on State level forest management. The CASFOS institutes are located at Dehradun, Coimbatore and Burnihut Assam.
The Central Academy of Forest Education (CAFE) College in Kurseong, West Bengal also offers Ranger’s Training. This institute (CAFE) has recently been transferred to IIFM Bhopal (on 05-03-2024).
