It deals with Biodiversity Conservation, Forest Protection, Wildlife Management, and Research, Forest Development, Social Forestry, Forest Vigilance, and Evaluation, Eco-development and Tribal Welfare, Planning and Research, Tribal Rehabilitation and Special Afforestation and Human Resource Development and General Administration including Recruitment.
